Intex forays into e-comm with WishnBuy; to launch mobile wallet service soon

Domestic mobile handset and consumer durables company Intex Technologies has announced its entry into the e-commerce space with its own marketplace WISHnBUY.com.
With WISHnBUY, consumers will have access to over 100 brands displaying more than 30,000 products across categories.
“WISHnBUY aspires to tap the online shoppers with the wide range of assortments at affordable price-points,” said General Manager-Strategy and e-commerce, Intex, Madhur Arora.
The new marketplace is offering a nine-day festive offers from October 1 to October 9, with discounts up to 70 per cent.
The e-commerce portal has tied-up with leading merchants, financial institutions and payment aggregators.
Domestic smartphone-maker also announced its partnership with Tata Teleservices subsidiary mRUPEE to launch their first mobile wallet service.
Intex MyWallet will help make payments with integrated payment functionalities and conveniences within the device.
“Our collaboration with mRUPEE is to offer the users additional value which is being created right from video, gaming, healthcare, utility, entertainment and e-commerce, all packed in their handsets at fingertips,” said Head-VAS, Intex Technologies, Vineet Singh in a statement.
Users can recharge, money transfer, shopping, booking train, movie bus tickets and much more directly from Intex MyWallet.
Intex will also launch a retailer portal wherein, the Intex retailers will get opportunities to get higher share of customers wallet by offering retail assisted services of recharges, bill payments, utilities and money transfer.
