PepsiCo to unveil lime-based drink today
In an effort to categorise the unorganised lime-based drink market, beverage major Pepsico will launch today its packaged lemonade drink, under its umbrella brand 7 Up. Speaking to IndiaRetailing, Pepsico spokesperson said, “We can not reveal the name of the drink right now, but yes we are launching, across India, a new lemonade drink under 7 Up .”

Further, in a section of the press it has been reported that the new drink will be called Nimbooz.

As the summers are expected to be hot this year, the market for packaged lemonade drink is estimated to be huge, as Nimbu-Pani is expected to be the favourite thirst quencher of the average Indian person.

It is to be believed that lime-based drink category is the fastest growing segment of the Rs 70 billion aerated soft drink market in India, with both competing brands Sprite from Coca-Cola and PepsiCo's 7-Up registering healthy growth rates.
