Shoppers Stop debuts in Gujarat

Shoppers Stop, a chain of large-format department stores in India, has opened its first store in Gujarat (46th in the country) at AlphaOne Mall. Spread over 44,000 sq.ft. the store offers international and Indian brands across categories such as personal accessories, apparel, cosmetics and fragrances, jewelry, toys, handbags, luggage, lingerie, footwear, kitchen appliances, home furniture, and adornments.

The new outlet stocks personal accessories by brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, DKNY, Espirit, Guess, Prada, Armani, and FCUK. International apparel brands like Jack & Jones, UCB, and Austin Reed are also available at the new store. Shoppers Stop also retails a range of merchandise under its brands namely Stop, Kashish, Life, Haute Curry, Elliza Donatein, inSense’, iJeanswear, Mario Zegnoti, and Vettorio Fratini.

Speaking on the occasion, Govind Shrikhande, Customer Care Associate and Managing Director, Shoppers Stop, said: “Our entry into Gujarat marks a new milestone in our two-decade journey of success and accomplishments in the retail landscape of India. Shoppers Stop already has a sizable base of approximately 5,000 loyal customers in Ahmedabad who travel to our stores to Mumbai. Shoppers Stop has 46 stores (including 2 airport stores) in 22 cities, namely, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Amritsar, Bangalore (5 stores), Bhopal, Chennai (2 stores), Delhi (4 stores), Durgapur, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Hyderabad (4 stores), Indore, Jaipur (2 stores), Kolkata (3 stores), Latur, Lucknow, Mumbai (8 stores), Mysore, Noida, Pune (3 stores), Siliguri, and Vijayawada occupying an aggregate area of over 2.05 mn sq.ft. of retail space.
