Reliance Retail launched three new pilot stores in Visakhapatnam. This has taken the tally of Reliance ‘Fresh’ stores to 31 in the state of Andhra Pradesh. These stores have an average retail space of about 1,800 square feet each. First customer entering these stores opened these stores. It is expected that the number of company stores in Andhra may go up to 45 by March-end and further to 75-101 by June-end 2007.
The company has rolled out nine stores in the fast growing NCR area around Delhi recently. The current tally of Reliance’s Fresh stores is 59 with an average retail space of around 2,000 square feet each.
The new in-store UPI payment facility is currently live in more than 200 Reliance Retail stores in Mumbai across formats, including Reliance Fresh, Reliance Smart, Reliance Digital, Reliance Trends and Reliance Footprint
