Cafe Coffee Day to expand aggressively

Café Coffee Day has planned to aggressively expand its operations in next one year. According to its plan the company will roll out 250 new outlets, other than this it will also set up 530 Café Coffee Xpress kiosks, 3,700 Coffee Day Takeaways and 300 (per month) coffee vending machines.

The company is planning to add new café formats like campus café, ’shop in a shop’ café, vegetarian café, highway café, on board cafes on airlines like GoAir and Air Deccan, garden café, and mall café. The company is planning to invest Rs. 200 crore on this expansion.

It is also looking to increase its international presence. It will increase the number of outlets from 5 to 15 this year. It already has outlets in Austria and Pakistan, and has plans to roll out cafes in Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia and Switzerland.
