Desai had helped set up the Indian operations from scratch. With a wealth of experience across industries, Desai set up a professional system at Damas to target the highly unorganised branded jewellery retail market.

“The time has come to seek different challenges, to fuel my ambition. I will always be proud of my association with Damas. I’m taking this action after lengthy consideration, so both the company and I can move forward.”

Desai has not decided his further course of action and is currently weighing options across industries.
