Alok Industries unit on fire — suspends operations

Textile major Alok Industries’ texturising unit at Silvassa was hit by a fire on Thursday and it has since suspended operations at the plant to assess the damage. The company said in a statement on Friday that the plant has been insured against fire, including loss of profit policy.
