BIS-hallmarked jewellery for Keralites

Must Read

With the aim of providing genuine jewellery to consumers, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has licensed 300 jewellers in Kerala to sell the BIS-hallmarked gold jewellery.

Consumers now can be assured of the authenticity of their jewelled pieces by just looking at the BIS logo and all the other hallmark components. To facilitate the verification, licensed jewellers have been asked to provide magnifying glass in their shops.

The hallmarking details and the list of BIS-certified jewellers can be obtained from the BIS office in Thiruvananthapuram and its website.
