From a megamarts chain to restaurants, and to spas and amusement parks, Vishal Retail is eyeing all business opportunities in the business of retail.
Following the McDonald’s concept, the company is planning to open 10,000 quick-service restaurants across the globe.
Also on the cards are combinations of retail and entertainment projects that will include retail stores, spas and water parks, to be opened on national highways. Around 25 such projects in over 10-20 acres are planned by the company.
“We want to become the world’s largest retailer and have formats all over the world,” said company chairman and managing director Ram Chandra Agarwal on the sidelines of Retail Leadership Summit organised by Retailers Association of India (RAI). However, Agarwal refused to comment on his plans, saying that they were in initial stages.
The company is also planning to introduce home delivery model at its outlets to garner higher sales.
