Arvind Mills aims for billion dollar by 2012

Leading textile manufacturer Arvind Mills intends stepping up its retail plans across the country to achieve a sales turnover of a billion dollars by 2012.

The company intends to achieve the target by expanding its value retail chain‘Megamart’.

It also has plans to launch large format value stores called ‘Megamart Outlet Centre’ which will be spread across an area of 50,000 sq ft to 60,000 sq ft, said a company release.

It has signed up properties in Chennai, Pune and Hyderabad to set up three of such large format stores this fiscal.
