Pradip Overseas to introduce home linen brand

Must Read

Pradip Overseas, an Ahmedabad-based export company, is planning to enter the niche home linen market by launching a mass brand. The brand name however is not finalised.

“We will introduce the brand in March 2008,” JS Negi, director and technical advisor, Pradip Overseas Limited, told Indiaretailing,

Sharing details about the product, Negi said, “The brand will be priced a little lower than that of others in this particular segment, without compromising on the product quality.”

Though the company has not finalised the retail model, it is hoping to touch the turnover between Rs 50 to 100 crore per year.

“We enjoy 25 per cent share of the export market, and are trying to reach the same in the domestic retail market. By 2009, we hope to set up at least 20 outlets across the country.”

“The company will get into institutional sales and will also sell to government agencies and hotels,” added Negi.
