India Sourcing Summit started in Bengaluru today. The participants at the summit will debate about the cost-effectiveness of India and China. Other important panel discussions will be on supply and sourcing issues pertaining to the automobile, pharmaceuticals and retail industry.
The summit is being organised by Indian Institute of Management, Bengaluru (IIMB), and Supply Management Institute (SMI), and will provide a platform for constructive discussion on India as a global sourcing hub.
A CEO panel on ‘India as an emerging hub for global sourcing’ will be addressed by corporate leaders including R Seshasayee, managing director of Ashok Leyland; Amitabh Chaudhry, CEO, Infosys; and Dr Wilfred Aulbur, managing director and CEO, Daimler Chrysler India Pvt. Ltd.
