For the first time in India, people from the business of shopping centre development were honoured at Images Shopping Centre Awards 2008 (ISCA).

Awardees:

• Images Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year: Socially Responsible – City Centre, Kolkata
• Images Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year: Non-Metros – Iscon, Ahmedabad
• Images Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year: Tier 2 – Treasure Island, Indore
• Images Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year: Social Destination – High Street Phoenix, Mumbai
• Best Secured Shopping Centre of the Year – Select Citywalk, Delhi
• Most Admired Shopping Centre Deisgn of the Year – Great India Place, Noida
• Most Admired Shopping Centre Marketing and Consumer Promotion of the Year – Inorbit, Mumbai
• Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year: Retailers Choice – Forum, Bengaluru
• Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year: Metros – Select Citywalk, Delhi
• Most Admired Shopping Centre Face of the Year – Pranay Sinha, president and CEO, Select Citywalk, Delhi
• Images Shopping Centre Visionary – Chandru Raheja

The awards selection process followed global standards of performance assessment involving retailers across India as well as an industry poll to shortlist achievers and a self-nomination process initiated by Images Group. The range, depth and width of both retailer and industry data were coordinated and structured by IRIS Retail Intelligence, the knowledge partner for the awards.

The jury comprised top retailers and industry observers: Kishore Biyani, MD, Future Group; Anuj Puri, chairman and country head, Jones Lang LaSalle Meghraj, India; Anshuman Magazine, managing director, CB Richard Ellis – South Asia; D Shivakumar, MD, Nokia India, Sanjay Verma, executive MD, South Asia, Cushman & Wakefield; Raghu Pillai, president and CEO, Reliance Retail; Arvind Singhal, chairman, Technopak Advisors; and Ramanathan Hariharan, director, Landmark Group.
