About 60 iStores from Reliance on the cards

Reliance Retail (RRL) has planned to set up 60 iStores across the country by 2011. iStore is the retailing format of Reliance through which Apple products are sold.

Speaking to media at the inauguration of iStore in Jaipur, the first in North India, Ajay Baijal, CEO, Reliance Industries (CDIT Business), said: “We have planned to expand our network of stores to retail the entire range of Apple products for professional and consumer segments. The range includes iMac consumer desktop computers, MacBook consumer notebooks, Mac pro and iPods, along with over 500 accessories and peripherals complementing Apple products.”

The Jaipur outlet is the fourth in India after Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Mumbai. The company also plans to set up around 150 Reliance Digital outlets across the country in two years. It already operates five stores in this format.
