Spencer’s Retail, part of the RPG Group, has plans to add around 15 Books & Beyond stores by end of this fiscal.
Announcing this at the launch of its store in Hyderabad, K Dasaratharaman, president, speciality retail business of RPG, said, “Positioned as a ‘community engaging store’, the new stores will be located in metros and big cities, and retail books, music and stationery.”
“This format is our route to get into the leisure and entertainment sector. Our target is to reach at least 15 stores (average size of 6,000 to 7,000 square feet) this fiscal,” Dasaratharaman informed.
Launched in April 2007, Books & Beyond store retails around 35,000 books and magazines.
