Maxwell Industries, promoters of Indian intimatewear major VIP Group, has planned to set up exclusive retail stores across India. Branded as ‘Green Room’, the stores will retail all collections from the VIP brand.
Speaking to media at a press meet, Kapil Pathare, director, Maxwell Industries said: “With the retail sector growing enormously in India, we plan to open around 200 Green Rooms, which will offer all the brands of the company under one roof. The exclusive stores across India will be opened through the franchise route.”
The company is also in talks with a French innerwear company for a joint venture, under which VIP will manufacture and sell the former’s products in India under the French brand name.
The company clocked a turnover of Rs 2.05 billion last fiscal and expects it to touch
Rs 2.25 billion in the current fiscal.
