Jewellery retailer Tanishq, a part of Titan Industries, has opened its first US store at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Chicago.
The company has planned to open around 25 more Tanishq stores in the US within the next few years. According to a release from the company, the next store will open in New Jersey.
Citing reasons for choosing Chicago as the initial ground for launching operations in the country, Bhaskar Bhat, managing director, Titan Industries, said: “Chicago is the quintessence of sophistication, with incredible architecture, world-famous music and a very design-savvy community. We thought it the perfect place to premiere Tanishq in the US.”
Tanishq currently operates around 108 boutiques in 73 cities in India and is planning to increase its domestic network as well.
