Max Retail on expansion drive

Max Retail, the value retailing chain of Lifestyle International Pvt Ltd, has planned to expand the network of its stores in the country by opening two stores in Kozhikode and Mumbai. The company has also planned to include an ethnicwear range in its portfolio.

Vasanth Kumar, executive director, Max Retail, said: “Our sarees and ethnicwear will be designed locally and will be available at around Rs 600 and upwards.”

The company is targeting a market share of five per cent by 2012 and is hoping to increase consumption of ethnicwear by 50 per cent within 10 years.
