In a bid to attract shoppers emotionally, Godrej Lifespace, the division that looks after Godrej & Boyce Mfg Co’s home and office improvement retail, is all set to launch its new concept “Godrej Moodspace” at their Lifespace stores soon.
This initiative has been taken after an exhaustive consumer research and will help create the right mood for the shoppers to get involved emotionally in their selection of the product.
In this approach, the shoppers will be assisted by mood consultants who will be trained by the company’s special certification course for this purpose.
Shyam Motwani, vice-president and business head (retail division), Godrej & Boyce Mfg Co, said, “The new ranges will be classified as ‘Romance’ and ‘Freedom’ and not just according to the size, shape and cost of the products.”
Initially, this new service will be made available in the Bengaluru and Hyderabad stores and gradually rolled out across the top 10 metros in a few months.
Speaking about the avenues of the company in the south, Motwani added, “The South is the most important market for us, making up for nearly 40% of our sales.”
The company also plans to enter the soft furnishing and home décor segments and touch a total of 150 Lifespace stores across the country in the next five years, up from its current 58 outlets.
