Odyssey, the Chennai-based leisure store chain, has launched its ninth store in Indiranagar, Bengaluru.
Inaugurated by Vishal Bali, CEO, Wockhardt Hospitals Group, Odyssey store is sprawled over 15, 000 square feet with well stacked collection of 75,000 book titles and wide range of music and movie titles, games, toys and stationary items as well.
The other highlights include the Hobby court, which offers workshops including pottery making, the Amar Chitra Katha Lounge. The customers can also enjoy reading book at Cafe Coffee Day, present within the store. The new store also offers an Eyewear Express collection.
Talking about the expansion plan, TS Ashwin, managing director, Odyssey said, “We have applied intelligent marketing strategies and plan to open three mega stores in metros including Delhi and Mumbai in March 2009.”
Odyssey, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Deccan Chronicle Holdings Ltd, enjoys pan-India presence through its 39 stores across the country. Further, it plans to come up with 40 express outlets in the coming year. It has tied up with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), to launch Odyssey kiosks at 29 stations.
