After the success of Easyday, low- key retail stores in Punjab, Bharti Retail, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Bharti Enterprises, marks entry to Hayana with opening of two Easyday stores in Karnal and Jagadhri.
Commenting on the occasion, Vinod Sawhny, president and chief operating officer, Bharti Retail, said, “It is a happy occasion for us to launch our first two stores in Haryana. With Easyday, we not only aim the consumers for a great shopping experience, but also focus to continue working with local communities and create value by tapping local talent to work with us.”
“Bharti also has plans to invest Rs100 billion to set up stores across the country by 2012 to the tune of 10 million square feet of retail space, employing around 60,000 people,” added Sawhny.
