Retail major Nakumatt Holdings is all set to foray into the convenience store (c-store) market with the launch of it pilot c-store in Kahawa Wendani in Kenya under the brand, Nakumatt express, according to a top company official.
Commenting on the development, Thiagarajan Ramamurthy, operations director, Nakumatt, said, “We will start pilot outlets as part of our corporate expansion strategy, we are now entering the convenience store market segment which we hope will continue to deliver value for our customers.”
As a part of strategic retail expansion, Nakumatt plans to open six more outlets across Nairobi suburbs and estates.
