Bed and bath linen retailer Creative Portico is planning to expand its retail operation across the country to achieve a turnover target of Rs 2 billion by 2011-12, according to a top company official. Further, the Mumbai-based company plans to increase its presence in multi-brand outlets and setting up more exclusive brand franchise stores.
“We are currently present in the 160 shop-in-shops, 400 multi-brand outlets and one exclusive brand franchise outlet. Our plan is to increase our retail presence with 250 shops-in-shops, 500 multi-brand outlets and 25 exclusive brand franchise outlets by 2011-12,” said Rajeev Merchant, managing director Creative Portico.
The retail expansion of the company will be operating through franchise route, Rajeev added.
Creative Portico operates with various brands including Portico (mid-premium), Tommy Hilfiger (super-premium), Portico Bed Time Stories (kids) and Portico Forever Young (teens).
