Despite slowdown, India’s leading flower retailer Ferns N Petals has claimed that it has seen the biggest growth this year. “With our outlets across the country and through the online service, we have seen 30 per cent growth in the retail sector and 80 per cent sales increase in the online service this year during the valentines day as compared to the corresponding sales in the last year. Apart from the growth which was seen during valentines, a growth of around 40 per cent is observed in the overall sale as compared to the last year,” said Pawan Gadia, VP, Ferns N Petals.
He further added that as most of the people are turning away from buying expensive gifts for their loved ones; it is helping to increase the sale of flowers, chocolates and wines.
Currently, the company operates 87 outlets across 35 cities in India. “After creating our presence in A class cities, we are now expanding to B and C class cities, with a motive to reach and serve our clients in a best possible way. In last six months, we have opened around 18 outlets in cities including Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Bengaluru, Aurangabad, Agra, Raipur, Baroda, Allahabad, Sangli, Gauhati, Luckhnow and Shrinagar,” concluded Gadia.
