India’s processed food industry is promising: Atul Singh

“Convenience and variety are fuelling the growth of India’s food industry. In-addition the potential unleashed by the processed food industry in terms of employment and revenue generation is also promising,” said Atul Singh, president and CEO, Coca-Cola India.

Singh shared his views before the forthcoming Food Forum India 2009 (FFI 2009). FFI 2009, to be held on March 19-20 at The Renaissance, Mumbai will be a two-day magnum opus of the Indian food industry. With the captains of the food industry charting the future of food retail, FFI 09 will comprise a convention and exhibition, and will be signed off with the Images Coca Cola Golden Spoon Awards for excellence in food retailing.

“At Food Forum, it will be encouraging to witness speakers and participants from various sectors debate and discuss such strategic issues,” concluded Singh.

The second edition of FFI this year, billed as the largest congregation of key, global and Indian, food retailers, manufacturers, organisations and minds in the food business, will span the vast array of food business segments such as food retail, food design, food technology & processing, food logistics & support, food services, information & technology.
