LG launches refrigerators; eyes 32 pc market share

LG Electronics India, a wholly owned subsidiary of LG Electronics, South Korea, has launched its new range of frost free refrigerators in the country. The range, available in four capacities — 240, 260, 290 and 320 liters, includes features like one touch ice tray, separate beauty and care compartment and freezable microwave box, according to a company press release.

V Ramachandran, director – marketing, LGEIL, said, “Through this new series of refrigerators we aim at achieving esteemed space in the Indian market. We aim at increasing the revenue share of the category by 30 per cent.”

While Rajiv Jain, business group marketing head – home appliances LGEIL, added, “With this new range, we expect to increase our market share to 32 per cent in the coming financial year.”

The new range is priced at Rs 13,900 – Rs 22,900, added the release.
