Sai Ramakrishna Karuturi, managing director of Bengaluru-based flower producer, exporter and retailer Karuturi Global Ltd (KGL), has been selected as one of the top 20 CEOs for his contribution to African region. Further to the development, he is invited to take part in the inaugural session of Frontier 100, an initiative of Initiative for Global Development (IGD) to be held in the US for his efforts in alleviation of poverty through the agri initiative in Kenya and Ethiopia, according to a company press release.
The company is involved in managing around 8,50,000 acres of land for cultivation of food grains, palm oil and sugar cane under a fully owned subsidiary Ethiopian Meadows PLC in Ethiopia. The company is also involved in flower production in Kenya through Sher Karuturi and exports its products to Europe, Middle East and the USA, added the release.
