Kohler, a global leader in kitchen and bath design products, is set to expand its manufacturing capacity at Jhagadia plant in Gujarat, a top company official said today.
“We have a manufacturing plant at Jhagadia in which we have invested around Rs 1,000 crore. Now, we will put up two more units in the same plant with investment of Rs 100 crore,” said Sharad Mathur, Managing Director of Kohler India Corporation Pvt Ltd.
At present, Kohler has 82 exclusive outlets in the country in the bathroom segment.
“By end of the current year, we will have 100 outlets in India,” he said, adding that the company is expanding its base in the country.
According to Mathur, the company had launched its bathroom products in the country in 2006. Meanwhile, Kohler has opened its exclusive modular kitchen showroom in Ahmedabad, which is its second outlet in the country for kitchen segment.
“We have one outlet in Delhi and opened the second outlet here in Ahmedabad,” Mathur said, while opening the new 4500 square foot showroom on SG highway here.
“The display kitchens have a price ranges from Rs 4 lakhs to 12 lakhs,” he said, adding that this category’s target group is upper middle class segment.
