Bharti Wal-Mart which recently opened its first cash & carry store – ‘Best Price Modern Wholesale’ – at Amritsar in Punjab, is set to launch co-branded credit cards in association with the Kotak Mahindra Bank.
Bharti Wal-Mart and Kotak Mahindra Bank have tied up to launch the ‘Kotak Best Price Business Card’, for members of Bharti Wal-Mart’s self-service, ‘Best Price Modern Wholesale’ stores, according to media reports.
The card will enable registered members of the stores to access a credit facility for purchases made at the store. “It expects 50,000-65,000 business owners to become members of the members-only stores in Punjab and all such members would be eligible to apply for the business card,” a company official was quoted as saying.
