Crossword Bookstores Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Shoppers Stop Ltd, has opened a new store in Hyderabad. Located at GVK One mall in the city, the newly launched Crossword store is the third store of the chain in Hyderabad and 50th store in India, according to a company press release.
Speaking on the store launch, Mohit Gadia, national operation manager, Crossword Bookstores Ltd, said, “Crossword is committed to expanding the market for books and inculcating the reading habit. Malls are becoming the new high streets with the added advantage of parking, an air-conditioned environment and shopping convenience. We believe the GVK One is going to offer great convenience and value to Hyderabad customers.”
Crossword currently operates 50 stores across 11 cities in India. The cities include Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ghaziabad, Hyderabad, Jaipur, New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Vadodara and Vishakhpatnam.
