Turtle launches men’s festival collection

Must Read

Close on the heels of setting up a new 4,000 sq ft trouser-making unit at Howrah near Kolkata to tap the large top end of the mass market and the bottom end of the premium market, Turtle, one of the country’s fastest growing menswear apparel brands, has now launched a new range of shirts and trousers under its Festive Collection 2009.

“The theme of this new range is Jazz. The collection has a mix-and-match of fabrics. As the theme suggests, there is a harmonious blend of printing and embroidery techniques in the collection. Keeping the festival mood on mind, the designers have chosen metallic threads and buttons to add the extra glitter to the fabric,” Amit Ladsaria, director, Turtle, tells Financial Chronicle in Kolkata on Saturday.

The new range includes tailored shirts, relaxed shirts, relaxed trousers sport, luxury shirts and rare shirts.

The tailored shirts under this collection are made of 100 per cent cotton with ETI (Easy To Iron) finish. The two-tone fabric has a simple, clean and crisp style. The major highlights of such shirts are the detailing such as bias and splits in subtle stripes. Available in colours such as plum, indigo, tan, red, black, beige, aqua, mint and white, the tailored shirts are made from compact yarn with calendaring.
