Maishaa, the luxury home fashion brand, has opened its first store in Surat, Gujarat. This is the first store in Gujarat and second in India after its presence in Delhi’s Square One Mall, Saket.
According to Arun Garg, president, A K Retail Inc.,‘‘We ventured into exclusive retail format in December last year with our first franchise operated store in Delhi. We are now looking at a total of 25 such outlets across India by end of the fiscal in March next year.”
In the multi-brand format, Maishaa has presence in 50 outlets of various retail players like Home Stop and Debenhams. “Our aim is now to double our points of sale to 100 multi-brand outlets by March 2010,” says Garg.
Maishaa has a product range of more than 2,000 fabrics and an equally vast range in bed linen. He further assured the company would keep on with the franchise- operated model and the next three stores would be operational by next month in Kolkata, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
