February is not just about Valentine’s Day – Swedish company Oriflame made a point that it is about love and giving as well. The company launched ‘Power of Kiss’ an initiative towards the overall development and welfare of the girl child in India on January 28 at Taj Mansingh Hotel, New Delhi. This is a continued association with Deepalaya, a non-government organization.

Oriflame-India has pledged to donate Rs 2 from the sale of each lipstick. This amount will be doubled by the ‘af Jochnick Foundation’, a charity concern formed by the founders of Oriflame- Jonas af Jochnick and Robert af Jochnick.to the cause. Rohit Bal is the goodwill ambassador.

“We at Oriflame believe that any investment made in the education of a girl, translates directly and quickly into better health care, poverty reduction and better overall economic performance of the family,” says Fredrik Widell, MD Oriflame, India.
