The much-awaited Spanish fast fashion retailer Zara is set to open its first outlet in India at Select Citywalk mall, Delhi, on May 28. The store will be spread over an area of 16,000 sq.ft.

Tata Group’s retail arm Trent Ltd, which has a joint venture with Inditex Group, is bringing the brand to India. The retail rental of the store will be based on revenue sharing and minimum guarantee – whichever is higher, confirm sources.

Select Citywalk recently bagged the ‘Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year (up to five lakh sq.ft GLA)’ and ‘Most Admired Shopping Centre of the Year – Metros (population 40 lakh-plus)’ at the IMAGES Shopping Centre Award, 2010 in Mumbai.
