After serving Unilever for a long period of 33 years as President- Global Foods, Home and Personal Care, Vindi Banga has now joined US-based Private Equity major Clayton Dubilier & Rice as Operating Partner. Vindi Banga will be a part of A G Lafley (former Chairman of Proctor and Gamble) and Jack Welch’s (former GE Chairman) team. Both Lafley and Welch are working as the special partners with CD&R. Mentioning his reasons for joining a PE Fund, Banga told PTI, “Private equity fund is driving global business growth. When capital is a major constraint, PE is the best source of capital. Also, CD&R’s history of incorporating strong management leadership skills into its investment activities is very appealing to me.”
