Must Read

In order to make shopping fun and offer great deals to guests, the DLF Promenade mall in Delhi has begun a shopping festival. As part of the month-long fiesta – from July 15 to August 15 – most retailers present at the mall are offering irresistible discounts to customers.

The mall has, in fact, allotted an area of 5,000 sq.ft, including the atrium and the food court zone, for various branding activities during the festival.

Some of the features of the ongoing festival are great discounts, daily prizes, great attractions like wheel of fortune, gifts and ladders, weekly and mega draws.

Speaking exclusively to IndiaRetailing about the shopping festival, Pushpa Bector, vice-president, DLF Promenade, said, “DLF Promenade has always conducted unique and creative activities for its customers. Since July-August is considered to be a sale season, we deliberately timed the shopping festival during this period.”

Informing that other DLF malls were also undertaking similar promotional campaigns, she said Promenade was offering additional benefits such as free tattoo-making service, nail art and makeovers, among other things.

The retailers participating in the festival, Bector said, included Dayal Opticals, Surreal, Tathaastu, Inglot, Herb Garden, Punk, ELC, Mango, Promod, Zara, M.A.C, UCB, Harley-Davidson, Mothercare, Sunglass Hut, DKNY, Charles & Keith, ALDO, La Senza, Satya Paul, Woodland, ColorPlus, s.Oliver, Van Heusen, Allen Solly and Guess, among others.

“Besides basic discounts being offered by all brands, we have exciting games, such as wheel of fortune, gifts and ladders, where customers can earn various gifts and discounts. Other than this, retailers are also offering free services,” she said, adding, “retailers are participating through gift vouchers and giving additional discounts over and above sales discounts. Most of them are giving five per cent additional discounts to Citibank card holders.”

On the expected increase in revenue and footfalls during the month-long promotional campaign, Bector said, “We witness a footfall of 20,000 during weekdays and above 35,000 during weekends. During the shopping festival, we expect a 25-30 per cent increase in footfalls.”

She also said the “increase in footfalls and higher revenue for retailers (during the festival) will give us additional revenue in the long run”.

Informing that the yearly calendar of DLF Promenade was full of exciting events, Bector said, “Since the response to the festival has been really good, we expect to arrange more such festivals in the days to come.”
