Cinnabon, a US-based chain of baked goods, has opened its second Mumbai outlet – at Juhu. The 650 sq.ft store became operational on July 26. In Mumbai, Cinnabon is also present at Bandra.
Speaking exclusively to IndiaRetailing, Zayed Kazi, manager – marketing and communications, Cinnabon, said, "Cinnabon currently has two outlets each in Mumbai and Delhi. By the year-end, we plan to open six more outlets, taking the count to 10."
He added Cinnabon would roll out three more stores, of which two will be in Mumbai – at Carter Road and Breach Candy – and one at Khan Market, Delhi.
In India, Cinnabon serves its beloved Cinnabon Classic Rolls, Caramel Pecanbons CinnaPacks, and Cinnabon Bitesall. It also provides beverages such as CarameLatta Chills, MochaLatta Chills and Chillattas.
Dish Hospitality Private Limited, the food and beverages arm of Wadhawan Enterprises, has entered into a tie-up with US-based Focus Brands to open Cinnabon bakeries in India. DHPL plans to open 150 Cinnabon bakeries across India in the next 10 years.
Founded in Seattle in 1985 and now based in Atlanta, Cinnabon Inc is the market leader among cinnamon roll bakeries. Cinnabon currently operates more than 650 franchised locations worldwide, primarily in high traffic venues such as shopping malls, airports, train stations, and travel plazas.
