Avon, the leading direct-selling company, has launched its first-ever international jewellery collection in India. The range was unveiled with a fashion show in Delhi held on September 12 at The Grand Hyatt. Speaking on the occasion, Hemant Singh, Managing Director – Avon India, says, “We are extremely excited about introducing the look of real international jewellery collection to Avon’s existing product portfolio in India. It is also a new business avenue that will help in increasing earning opportunities for our existing and potential independent sales representatives.” Priced within a range of Rs349 to Rs1999, the jewellery is plated with precious metals like gold, rhodium and palladium, and comes studded with precious rhinestones and cubic zirconia embellishments. Given the affordable price range and the onset of the festive season, it looks to be a smart business move. Among all cosmetic direct-selling brands, Avon is the first to test the waters with a jewellery line.
