With the aim to strengthen its retail presence in India, premium leather footwear brand Pavers England, which was introduced in India as a JV between Pavers Foresight Smart Venture and Chennai-based Forward Group, plans to open 25 new exclusive franchise outlets by the end of 2011. It also plans to launch a premium women’s footwear brand by March next year.

Talking about the expansion plans in India, Stuart Pavers, president and chairman, Pavers England, said, “We have received an overwhelming response from India. As we enter the fourth year of operations in the country, we are delighted to share that we have been able to build a strong distribution and logistics team with three regional warehouses and a new purpose-built 15,000 sq.ft central logistics hub for the brand in India.”

The company’s 25 new stores will come up in tier-I cities such as Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Delhi. In addition, Pavers England aims at expanding its presence through stores such as Reliance Footprint in tier-II cities and has finalised rollout in Baroda, Mangalore and Nagpur.

On the company’s performance so far, Pavers said, “We reported a $5 million turnover in the last fiscal by establishing an integrated footwear retail chain across the country.”

Utsav Seth, CEO & MD, Pavers England Ltd, says, “Pavers England is one of the most respected names in delivering hand-crafted leather footwear in comfort technology with style and elegance. The collections are inspired by global fashion trends, keeping in mind the discerning customers in India. Today, the brand is emerging as a destination where customers can get high-quality fashionable products at a great value powered with world-class customer service.”

The company also plans to roll out a customer-oriented e-store, which follows the extremely successful Pavers European e-store, www.shoe-shop.com. Once launched, the online store will feature the latest in men’s and women’s footwear and accessories and offer home delivery at no extra cost.

Launched in 2008, Pavers England is currently sold at over 110 points of sale across India.
