Manipal Cure and Care in expansion mode

Must Read

Manipal Health Enterprises (MHE), one of the leading integrated hospital services groups in India, has announced its plan to invest close to Rs.150 crore to expand its clinic arm – Manipal Cure and Care (MCC) – in Bangalore. Meanwhile, it will explore opportunities to expand in other Indian cities through direct investment.

Manipal Health Enterprises plans to set up 30 new MCC centres in the next two-three years and is optimistic that these clinics will accelerate its market penetration and reach. A path-breaking initiative, MCC centres offer a range of world-class healthcare preventive, curative, wellness and beauty services, driven by healthcare professionals, under one roof.

Dr S C Nagendra Swamy, president, Manipal Health Enterprises, said, “We plan to integrate our skills and expand our presence in preventive, curative, wellness and beauty care categories as there is a substantial demand in India. With these clinics, we will be able to offer comprehensive medical services and unmatched convenience and comfort to our patients in their nearest neighbourhood.”

Rajen Padukone, CEO, Manipal Health Enterprises, said, “We take pride in reintroducing the erstwhile ‘family physician’ in the friendly neighbourhood clinic, where an individual could get medical care at a nearby polyclinic. This is a reiteration of our commitment to taking healthcare to everybody’s doorstep. We always believe in making healthcare very accessible to the community.”

Stressing that the concept of the friendly, familiar family physician is gradually fading away, Dr Sudarshan Ballal, medical director, Manipal Health Enterprises, said, “Now, a neighbourhood multi-speciality polyclinic, such as Manipal Cure & Care, will ensure that patients get the necessary diagnosis as well as consultation from an experienced physician.”
