Ramesh Nair, managing director for Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) India’s Chennai and Hyderabad regions, has assumed the overall responsibility of the company’s western India operations, which encompass Mumbai and Pune.

Anuj Puri, chairman & country head of Jones Lang LaSalle India, is positive that Nair’s tried and tested abilities will translate into direct and tangible value for the company’s clients in Mumbai, Pune and the key cities of Gujarat.

“As the managing director for western India, Nair will give our operations in these important markets the benefit of the expertise and professionalism that expanded our footprint in Chennai and Hyderabad. He is an able leader with a deep knowledge of our business and its dynamics,” says Puri.

On his new role in the company, Nair says, “Mumbai is both the most vibrant and most unpredictable real estate market in India. It is never possible to relax here – there is just too much going on. My analysis (for the Mumbai real estate market in 2011) tells me that we are going to have our hands full this year.”

Nair, with over 14 years of multi-faceted experience, has been with JLL India since 1999.
