Alchemist Food and Beverage Ltd (AFBL), a division of the Rs.10,000 crore Alchemist Group, has launched its maiden ‘Spice Water Trail’ restaurant in the national capital. Located at the GK I market, the 3,000 sq.ft restaurant, with a seating capacity of 76, promises to offer authentic South Indian cuisine. The company has invested close to Rs.2 crore on the outlet.
Kushagra Nagrath, COO, hospitality division, Alchemist Group, said, “There are a few South Indian places already running in Delhi, but they have a specific focus. We have, however, done an extensive research before coming up with the menu,” he added.
On the unique selling point of the new format restaurant, Nagrath said, “Our USP is authenticity.”
The company plans to roll out 3-5 more Spice Water Trail restaurants in the city before venturing into other markets. With plans to invest close to Rs.2 crore on each new outlet, the company expects ROI in the next two years.
In addition to its newly launched Spice Water Trail, AFBL has other restaurant formats including Zazen, Kink, Kebab Khan and Café Amor.
