To optimise their performance and remain competitive, fashion retailers, who work in a volatile market situation, need to create a lean and agile supply chain.
This, though, is easier said than done, especially because in the fashion industry, demand is unpredictable and could change completely in a short time, creating high difficulties for supply chain.
Understanding this need of fashion retailers, the upcoming India Fashion Forum (IFF) will have a session, “Innovative Supply Chain in Fashion”, to discuss issues revolving around increasing sales and profitability by reducing uncertainty and managing variability in supply chain.
Those participating in the session include Anshuman Singh, MD & CEO, Future Supply Chain Solutions; and Prof N Viswanadha, ED, Centre for Global Logistics and Manufacturing Strategies, Indian School of Business.
Besides discussing supply chain, IFF, to be held on February 17-18, will address a number of issues faced by the fashion industry and provide a platform to national and international players to share their knowledge and experience with a view to give a thrust to the industry.
