In the last quarter of 2010, the Danish government had forbidden the manufacture of cosmetic products that had paraben as an ingredient for children under the age of three. Symrise, a German fragrances & speciality chemicals manufacturer, has come up with Hydrolite® 6, a paraben-free skincare option for children. The company claims that Hydrolite® 6 increases the effectivenss of the preservatives, such as potassium sorbate and dehydroacetate, which renders the addition of parabens as unnecessary.
