California Pizza Kitchen Inc (CPK) has opened its second restaurant in India. The new outlet, spread across an area of 4,000 sq.ft with a seating capacity of around 190 people, is situated in High Street Phoenix, Mumbai. CPK has a franchise agreement with JSMGGC India Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between Mumbai-based JSM Corporation and Dubai-based Gourmet Gulf Company.
California Pizza Kitchen made its entry in India with its first restaurant at the Bandra-Kurla complex, Mumbai in August 2010. JSMGGC plans to open 15 new CPK outlets in India over the next five years.
The US-based CPK currently has 265 restaurants – 207 company-owned and 58 operated under franchise or licence agreements – across the globe.
