Continuing to expand its presence across the country, footwear manufacturer and retailer Bata India has launched its largest store in North Delhi. The store at City Centre Mall, Rohini will offer a complete range of footwear and accessories, including handbags and belts.
On the occasion, Marcelo Villagran, MD, Bata India Ltd, said “Our objective is to make shoe shopping a pleasurable affair for our consumers. Our new format stores will, therefore, be larger than 4,000 sq.ft to allow enough space to present consumers with the largest variety of footwear designs and styles in an easy to choose display, with the best-in-class service.”
Talking about the new Bata collection, Villagran said, “We have multiple brands to cater to the lifestyle needs of men, women and children. Our Hush Puppies brand is targeted at the urban customer looking for elegant style, while Marie Claire is for the trendier and fashion-conscious women consumers. The comfort needs are fulfilled by Naturalizer, Scholl and Comfit, while the outdoor footwear brand Weinbrenner caters to speciality needs. Our North Star range is for customers looking for a sporty lifestyle look.”
Bata has been constantly expanding its retail footprint in India and has been opening over 60 stores every year. The company currently has over 1,200 stores in India and is continuing to increase its store density in tier II & III markets across the country.
