Basecamp, a multi-brand outlet offering travel gear products, has recently opened a store at Inorbit Mall, Pune. Spread across 624 sq.ft, the new store offers various travel solutions under one roof.
Talking exclusively to IndiaRetailing, Sameer Sikka, retail head, Basecamp, said, “We have invested approximately Rs.38 lakh on the new store and expect revenues of at least Rs.7-8 lakh in the first year.”
“The rental model with the mall is revenue sharing or minimum guarantee, whichever is higher,” informed Sikka.
Stressing that the company wants to go slow in terms of expansion, Sikka said, “We are planning to open four new stores this fiscal. The targeted cities would be Mumbai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Delhi.”
Basecamp currently has eight outlets across India.
