L’Occitane en Provence, a French natural skincare and beauty brand, has plans to open four new outlets in the next fiscal year in Mumbai and Delhi and tier II cities like Pune and Chandigarh.
The preferred location for the new showrooms is malls since they get higher traffic. The retailer has no plans to take the franchising route to expand its presence in India, the company spokesperson confirmed.
Guillaume Geslin, Country Head, L’Occitane India, said: “We are very satisfied of the response received over the last 2 years, which comfort us in continuing our ambitious opening plan for the coming years.”
The brand offers an array of skincare, fragrances and body care products, formulated with over 200 ingredients of plant origin and natural essential oils.
Founded in 1976 by Olivier Baussan, L’Occitane operates out of more than 1,800 boutiques in 90 countries worldwide.
