Shoppers Stop, the department stores chain, has been honored with the BestPrax Prize for Green Initiatives in the twenty-third Qimpro Convention conducted by KPMG; and the Best Supply Chain Excellence Award in retail in the 5th Express, Logistics and Supply Chain Conclave.
The BestPrax Prize for Green Initiatives recognizes the efforts of Shoppers Stop to conserve the environment. Under its CSR policy, Shoppers Stop formulated an Energy Management Policy “Environment Project A” and deployed energy conservation systems, green initiatives and eco-friendly merchandise under the same.
The retailer introduced innovative environment friendly practices like conserving energy and reducing wastage at stores, offices and distribution centers.
The Best Supply Chain Excellence Award in the retail vertical conducted by Express Logistics and Supply Chain (ELSC) recognized the robust and efficient supply chain management system of Shoppers Stop.
Qimpro has developed and copyrighted the BestPrax Barometer, a tool to measure the quality of business practices for good governance. The ELSC conclave, now in its 5th year, recognizes and showcases logistic companies and supply chain led businesses that have set new benchmarks in the delivery of logistics solutions.
Shoppers Stop operates large format department stores chain in India with over 2.05 million square feet area across 43 stores (including 2 airport stores) in 19 cities viz. Aurangabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Durgapur, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Noida, Pune, Siliguri and Vijayawada.
