Mall advisory and mall management company Beyond Squarefeet is planning to set up a retail recruitment arm called “Beyond Talent” to meet the needs of the modern retail industry and shopping centers. The recruitment company will be managed by industry professionals having hands-on experience in the sector.
Commenting on the planned move, Susil Dungarwal, Founder, Beyond Talent, said: “The idea of setting up this company is to contribute and give back to the industry, at the same time become a platform for retailers (employers) and retail professionals (employees) in garnering retail talent, which is a challenge for both of them. Having been part of the retail industry for over 25 years, we feel that the sector needs a dedicated retail executive search firm, which has a complete understanding of the industry and has an excellent network of retail professionals”.
Beyond Talent will be headed by Barkat Charania, as the Chief Executive Officer, who has over 10 years of experience in recruitment and staffing. He has worked with companies such as Genius Consultants, ThinkPeople Solutions, HR Solutions, and D’Pulse consultants. Talking about his new role, Charania, said that the challenge in the high attrition retail Industry will be to place the right talent in the right roles. He further added that the company will focus on being a service provider and will focus on innovative practices in the next few quarters.
Barkat holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management from Mumbai University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) from Symbiosis, Pune and is currently pursuing his PHD.
